Thank you for supporting your San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre. Your belief in what live theatre can do keeps SLO REP moving forward. As we reach the end of a very eventful year, we ask you to continue that support with a year-end gift. With your help, we’ll make 2026 the most exciting year yet and be one step closer to raising the curtain on A New Stage for our entire community.
There are two options for your gift detailed below. Thank you, from all of us, for being part of this amazing story.
1. ANNUAL FUND & ACT
Your generous annual gifts support professional live theatre on the Central Coast. Ticket sales provide only about 60% of what it takes to keep the lights on, the costumes stitched, the sets built and the actors onstage. Your tax deductible gifts provide the rest, helping to bring nearly 200 performances to our downtown SLO stage each and every year.
In addition to our shows and events, SLO REP’s Academy of Creative Theatre education program (ACT) provides year-round camps, classes and performance experiences for hundreds of young artists at our Empleo Street Headquarters every year.

2. A NEW STAGE
You can help build the future of live theatre on the Central Coast by supporting our Capital Campaign for A New Stage in downtown San Luis Obispo. Consider becoming a “Pillar of the Theatre” with your gift of $5,000. Donations of $10,000 or more will be acknowledged on our custom-designed Donor Wall, located in the lobby of our new venue. Donations can be made over time, with pledges welcomed for up to three years (to be completed by the end of 2027).
We’d be so grateful for your gift at whatever level of support feels right for you. All donations — at any amount — are deeply appreciated.

DONATEQualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
Are you age 70 1/2 or older? You can make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA to SLO REP!
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA to a qualified charity. Amounts distributed as a QCD can be counted toward satisfying your Required Minimum Distribution for the year, up to $108,000. The QCD is excluded from your taxable income. (You can read more about the tax implications and best practices regarding RMDs and QCDs HERE. We do not engage in providing tax advice and only provide this information summary as your starting point to discuss your individual situation with your tax advisor.)

Potential Tax-saving Tip: Accelerating your planned contributions into this calendar year could reduce your overall tax burden, especially considering changes to the 2026 tax laws. Please consult your tax advisor for more information and to find out what makes sense for you.
