Future volunteer information…
Volunteers are a very important part of keeping SLO REP rolling along show after show. The main volunteer opportunities available are related to show hospitality including bartending, greeting patrons, making coffee, etc. Other volunteer opportunities include backstage and set construction crew as well as office assistance with mailings, filing, etc.
Volunteers need no experience – training is provided at your first shift. Benefits include complimentary ticket vouchers, meeting wonderful people, and experiencing the joy of giving back to your community!
Front Door, Concessions, and Bartending Volunteers need to wear black pants, a white or black shirt, and closed-toe shoes. Please download and read the Front Door Volunteer Checklist, Concessions Volunteer Checklist, or the Bartender Volunteer Checklist before working your scheduled shift. But don’t worry – all training is provided by our house managers on the job! (Please note: All “tips” collected at the bar or concessions stand are donations to SLO REP and not to be kept by volunteers. Patrons may give tip donations voluntarily, but we do not ask them to do this.)
Office Volunteers can dress in casual street clothes.
Set Construction/Strike Crew Volunteers need to wear comfortable work clothes (may get dirty and/or damaged) and closed-toe shoes. Work gloves and knee pads are recommended, but not required.
