We offer high quality, year-round theatre education for the students of CA’s Central Coast. Most of our classes take place after school twice per week in six-week sessions located at our Education and Admin Headquarters at 3533 Empleo Street. With classes for ages 3-18, ranging from beginners to advanced training, there’s a class designed to engage students at every experience level. Whether your child is looking for a fun way to express themselves or looking to take their theatrical training to the next level, ACT has classes for everyone!

Fall Performance Class: A Christmas Carol
October 19-December 15 (please see important info on dates below)
Mondays & Tuesdays, 4:00-6:00pm
Cost of 9 week class: $600
Over the course of nine weeks, students will experience the full process of bringing a staged reading of A Christmas Carol to life—in-class auditions, rehearsals, tech rehearsal, and performance! The class will conclude with a performance as part of ACT’s “Holiday Showcase” in conjunction with ACT’s Holiday Glee Club, The Mistletones.

-Class meets Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00pm at our downtown theatre location beginning Monday, November 30.
-Class meets Monday 12/7 & Tuesday 12/8 from 5:30-7:30pm in the theatre.
-Class meets Monday 12/14 and Tuesday 12/15 from 4:00-6:00pm
-Performance at ACT’s Holiday Showcase, Tuesday, December 15.
-Class will continue through Thanksgiving week.

Teen Company: Musical Theatre Concert Edition

Attention, teens! Are you looking to grow your theatre skills in between performances? Are you eager to explore specialized theatre topics? Want to spend time with your theatre friends weekly? Teens in this class will receive mentorship from local theatre professionals in the form of in-class workshops in topics like:
Movement for the actor
Script analysis
Dialect work
Stage combat
MT Ensemble (voice and dance)
Personalizing a character
Auditions and callbacks
In addition to guest-artist workshops, this session’s students will select and rehearse a concert-style version of a popular musical to be presented to family and friends at the end of the class session.

Teen Company Important Class Dates:
- Teen Company is a 12-week session. Classes will take place from 5pm to 7pm on the following days:
- June 30-August 4: Tuesdays ONLY.
- August 10-September 14: Mondays AND Tuesdays.
- Final performance will take place on Monday, September 14th.
