ARTISTIC TEAM
Kerry DiMaggio (Director) is thrilled to be directing for ACT for the first time in five years! She first began performing with SLO REP in 2005 when she played Maria in West Side Story (while also attending Cal Poly for her BA in Theatre Arts). Since that time, she’s performed in and directed dozens of shows on the SLO REP stage. Favorite acting credits include Ado Annie (Oklahoma), Bella (Lost in Yonkers), and Violet (9-5). Favorite directing credits are The Cake and Pride and Prejudice. Kerry also serves as SLO REP’s Education Director. She feels especially fortunate to be able to do her favorite thing (making theatre) alongside her talented friends and colleagues at SLO REP. Thank you to Luke for holding down the fort at home!
Danielle McNamara (Music Director) is a professional musician and co-owner of Lyrics and Melodies Studio with her wife, Lacey. Past Music Directing credits for ACT include, The Jungle Book, Mary Poppins, and Honk Jr.. Past performance credits at SLO REP include My Way, Some Enchanted Evening and A Chorus Line. Danielle has appeared locally in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Rocky Horror Show Live. She belongs to NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and ASCAP (American Association of Composers, Authors and Publishers), and a registered Music Together® teacher and Center Director for Mini Melodies. Danielle earned her BA in Theatre Arts with a minor in music from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. Thank you to the cast and crew for making this a wonderful experience. Annaliese Chambers (Choreographer) is thrilled to be collaborating with SLO REP for the first time! Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she obtained a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Alabama. She has performed with numerous regional theatres across the country, and has even been in an international tour! Currently, when not working behind the curtain, she can be found performing in The Great American Melodrama’s 50th Season just down the road. She is so proud of these young artists!
ABOUT THE CAST
Elliott Godsey (The Cat in the Hat) first took the stage at 6 years old with Ballet Theatre San Luis Obispo. Since then she’s performed with Almond Acres Charter Academy, ACT at SLO REP, and most recently appeared as Worker 13 (Hadestown), and the Handmaiden (Frozen KIDS) with Paso High Theatre Company. Elliott wants to offer a huge thanks to her family for their support.
Scout Robles (Bird Girl) Is overjoyed to be back for her second show here at SLO REP! Most recently, Scout performed in Guys & Dolls (Hot Box Girl) and Frankenstein (Ensemble) at SLOHS, and was in ACT’s last year’s summer show, Crazy For You! (Wyatt). She would like to thank her family and friends for the endless support. Enjoy the show!!
At 10 years old, Kaylee Magon (Wickersham Brother #1) is thrilled to be in her first ACT Show! She has taken numerous classes at SLO REP and some of her favorite roles include the Cowardly Lion (Wizard of Oz) and the Minstrel in Once Upon a Mattress. When she’s not acting, she’s dancing on a competition team at CORE Dance.
Avery Magon (Wickersham Brother #2) participates in middle school choir and recently performed in their production of Alice in Wonderland (White Rabbit). Avery has always loved musical theater, taking many SLO REP classes, including The Little Mermaid (Ariel) and Once Upon a Mattress (Winnifred). She’s also joined the ensemble in SLO REP Mainstage and CYT shows.
Tyler Hagobian (Horton) could have previously been seen in Twelfth Night (Malvolio) and Crazy For You (Bella Zangler) as well as shows including The Little Mermaid and Guys and Dolls at SLOHS theater. He is thrilled to be in this production and would like to thank his parents and siblings.
Aubree Duke (Mrs. Mayor) is excited to be in the SLO REP production of Seussical Jr. Her favorite previous roles include The Wicked Witch (Shrek the Musical), Dot (Honk! Jr.) and Billy (Crazy for You). She hopes you enjoy the show!
Leo de Leon (JoJo) has been involved in theater since he was in Kindergarten, and is excited to be in his second production here at SLO REP. He has been in numerous shows, but his favorite roles include Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, Willy Wonka (ACT) and Valentine in Twelfth Night. Thanks to his whole family for supporting him!
Lily Collins (Wickersham Brother 3) is so excited to be involved in her first summer SLO REP production. Favorite roles include Lady Larkin (Once Upon a Mattress), Henry (Something Rotten), and Miss Fancy Blue (Whodunit). Lily has been doing SLO REP classes since she was nine. She thanks her wonderful parents for supporting her!
Clara Walters (Bird Girl) is excited to be back on the SLOREP stage! Previous credits include Claudia McFadden (Suite Surrender), Irene Roth (Crazy For You), Olivia (Twelfth Night), and Constable Warren (Our Town). She has also been in the ensemble of Guys And Dolls, Mean Girls, and SLO High’s 24hr production of Grease. Enjoy the show!!
Hannah Murphy (Mayzie) is thrilled to be back on the SLO REP stage! Previous credits include Twelfth Night (Sebastian), Mean Girls (Cady), Guys and Dolls (Hot Box Girl), Grease (Sandy), and much more. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, watching movies, and playing video games. She thanks her cast/crew, family/friends, and everyone who came to support this show. Enjoy!
This is Emma Ahlgren’s (Ensemble) first big SLO REP show and she has loved every minute of it! She participated in Slo High school’ spring musical Guys and Dolls (Hot Box Girl) and has done many other theater classes in the past! She hopes you enjoy the show!
Ava Ahlgren (Ensemble) has been at SLO REP for 2 1/2 years and has loved all of it, from The Little Mermaid Jr. to this very performance! She would like to thank ALL of her family for loving and supporting her throughout this process. She’s excited to see what’s next in this awesome acting adventure of hers at SLO REP!
Mika Pirozzi (Mr. Mayor) has been involved with theatre since sixth grade and has fallen in love with it. Some of her favorite roles have been Patricia Fodor (Crazy For You) and Chorus (Hadestown). She would like to thank her parents for supporting her!
Quinn Thurman (Sour Kangaroo) is thrilled to be back on the SLO REP stage! Some of her favorite past roles are Katherine (Newsies), Maria (Twelfth Night), and Janis (Mean Girls). She’d like to thank her family and friends for their love and support, along with the cast and production team for putting up with her unhinged puppeteering.
Greenlee Anderson (Bird Girl) is so thrilled to be back on the stage at SLO REP for her fifth production with ACT! Her favorite past roles include Sir Andrew (Twelfth Night), Showgirl (Crazy for You) and Dora Del Rio (Suite Surrender)! Greenlee wants to thank her friends and family for all their support, and she hopes you enjoy the show!
Maxine Castillo (Judge Yertle the Turtle, Ensemble) is thrilled to join the Seussical cast this summer. She previously appeared in the ACT productions of A Wrinkle in Time (Charles Wallace), and Honk Jr. (Beaky), and in SLO Rep’s production of A Christmas Story (Flick). This spring Maxine was in the C.L. Smith’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Willy Wonka). When not in rehearsal Maxine can be found reading and spending time with her friends.
Sadie Badger (Gertrude McFuzz) is so happy to be back with another SLO REP show! In past years you may have seen her in The Little Mermaid (Ariel), Annie jr. (Annie), Suite Surrender (Otis), Crazy for You (Tess), and Honk jr. (Drake).When Sadie is not singing/ doing theater she is likely listening to old records, and dancing around with her two sisters!
PRODUCTION TEAM
Bekah Badger (Stage Manager) has worked with SLO Rep for a year now, filling various crew positions for shows like Million Dollar Quartet (Light Operator), A Christmas Story (Backstage Manager), and many more. Now, Bekah is thrilled to work with this group of talented young actors and incredible crew members on Seussical Jr., and hopes you enjoy the show!
Cheryl Nacario (Costume Designer) is a Costume Designer and hair/makeup artist based on the Central Coast. She has previously designed ACT’s Twelfth Night, Crazy for You, A Wrinkle in Time and Honk! Jr. While her early career was as a ballroom dancer/instructor and children’s portrait photographer, she currently works as a costume designer based in Santa Barbara and has also ventured to Paris and New York to explore her strength as a hair & makeup artist.
Lester Wilson (Backstage Manager) received his B.A. in Theatre Arts & English at Cal Poly and has performed, designed, and directed at Central Coast and L.A. theatre companies. Some of his favorite roles include Guys & Dolls (Nicely Johnson), The Jungle Book (Baloo), You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown), Aladdin (The Genie) and SpongeBob Musical (Mr.Krabs). He’s worked with Improv groups The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, & iO West. He is also a teacher with ACT, a director at AGHS Theatre Company, and Improv Coach for AGHS’s award winning Improv Team: Grin & Bare It. He enjoys all aspects of theatre and loves helping students develop and hone their skills while broadening their horizons as people and artists. It’s the power of theatre! The world’s a stage, enjoy it!
Dave Linfield (Scenic Design) designs nearly all of SLO REP’s Mainstage productions. The theatre bug bit him in 1990 when an audition notice for a community theatre production caught his fancy. Over the years, he migrated from performing onstage to working behind the scenes, embracing technical stagecraft as his true calling. Dave’s educational background in graphic design and his work experience in retail display and housing construction have blended together in distinctive ways to fuel his passion for designing and building sets.
Pam Hester (Lighting Operator) has worked on many SLO REP productions over the last 16 years. Favorite shows include Taking Leave, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), Watergate (and Other Solid Gold Hits), and A Chorus Line. She last appeared onstage in SLO REP’s Spinning into Butter. She has also worked on shows with the Santa Maria Civic Theatre, Brickyard Theatre, and the God Is Still Speaking Players. Pam hails from Kentucky, the Bluegrass State, and works as a registered nurse during the day.
Suzy Newman (Props, Production Manager) has worked in regional theatres throughout the country but has spent most of her career in theatres on the Central Coast. She was the Company Manager at The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville and the Development Coordinator for PCPA – Pacific Conservatory Theatre. She received her MFA in Acting from the University of Alabama and continues to freelance as an actor and director.
Kevin Harris (Sound & Lighting/Managing Artistic Director) grew up on the Central Coast performing with many local theatre groups, including the San Luis Obispo Little Theatre. He went on to study at the Tisch School at NYU and at the Atlantic Theatre Company. He was the Artistic Director of San Luis Obispo’s first professional theatre, Centerpoint Theatre Group and the Theatre Manager of the Contemporary Art Center in New Orleans. He received his Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the University of Iowa and worked throughout the country and in the Middle East directing and as a collaborator on original plays. He has taught at the University of Iowa, University of Chicago, and has led dozens of workshops on A Practical Handbook for the Actor across the country. Kevin feels privileged to be part of bringing live theatre to San Luis Obispo.
