How do you measure a year? (Goodbye 2021, Hello 2022!)

During the final week of each year it is our custom to take a look back; to celebrate our successes, forgive our mistakes, mourn our losses and laugh at all the nonsense along the way.

525,600 minutes. How do you measure a year?

In daylights,
In sunsets,
In midnights,
In cups of coffee,
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife…

We opened, we closed, we planned, we pivoted. We planned again and pivoted again. It was certainly another challenging year. But there were some bright spots along the way. 2021 may not have turned out quite the way we hoped it would, but we made it through, thanks to YOU.

10 dark months, 17 Intermission Shows

THE INTERMISSION SHOW ran April 3, 2020–May 14, 2021 for 87 total episodes (17 in 2021). It was irreverent, funny, poignant and downright silly. The Intermission Show kept us connected with you while our stage was dark. We are so grateful for your generous gifts that made it possible.

8 weeks, 30 shows, LOTS of laughter

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [abridged] opened in June and ran for 8 weeks offering a bright spot of comedy and camaraderie for theatre-starved audiences over the summer months.

15 classes, 15 camps, 225(+) students, boundless creativity and FUN

ACT offered a record number of children’s classes and camps, providing an enriching, creative outlet and a critical connection with peers and theatre mentors for our young students in a safe and supportive environment.

8 actors, 6 sold-out shows, happy holidays

It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Show was just a little Christmas card of a show but it brightened the holidays for us and our audiences and ended our year just right. It was so wonderful to see the theatre all decked out for the holidays and even better to see YOU — even if just the top half of your faces!
