Crazy for You Auditions
Academy of Creative Theatre (ACT) will be holding auditions for its summer production class, Crazy for You, on May 5th and 8th, with callbacks on May 14th. Auditions are by appointment and are open to students ages 11-18. Please note that this is a production class with a tuition of $695. Scholarships and payment plans are available.
AUDITION DETAILS
• Initial auditions are by appointment: May 5th (3:30-7:30pm) or 8th (3:30-7:30pm)
• Dance and Reading callbacks (by invitation) May 14th (4:00-7:00pm)

AVAILABLE ROLES
• 18-22 roles for ages 11-18. All roles are open. The full list of available roles is HERE.
• Strong singers and dancers are encouraged to audition!
• Please note all roles are open to actors of any gender and some actors may be cast as more than one character.
WHAT TO PREPARE
• All audition material is available here.
• Prepare/familiarize yourself with ALL the roles in BOTH Scene 1 and Scene 2. Scenes do not need to be memorized.
• Learn/memorize ONE of the two song selections. You may choose either song, unless you are auditioning for Polly, in which case we’d like to hear Someone to Watch Over Me. You may practice with the vocal guide version of the track, but we ask that you sing to the backing track at auditions. We’ll provide the music at auditions; no a Capella singing, please.
• Conflicts: you will be asked to share any conflicts you may have with the show’s rehearsal schedule. Please come prepared with your summer calendar.
• Please bring a current photo of yourself to the audition.
• Comfortable, moveable clothing is encouraged.
PRODUCTION DETAILS
• Rehearsals: May 26-July 5, 3-4 afternoon/evenings per week; July 7-17, Monday-Friday evenings. Some rehearsal conflicts can be accommodated.
• Production Dates: July 18-28. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, Saturday and Sunday matinees.
• Tuition: $695. Scholarships and Payment Plans available.
